That you used Marty’s photo so set the mood for this reflection and for the memory of the individual we both knew. Lovely. That the photo also conjures up for me spiritual lessons about life and death from the paperback book, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, of so many years ago, also provocative. Lots of passings these past few weeks experienced by any friends in the area. WE need all perspectives we can to process and grow out of the sorrow and grieving.

Really appreciate your gentle way of explaining and dealing with those times when we react in ways we know are less than what we’d hope. I notice these opportunities all the time. And these times when I react in a way that are not in tune with my higher self, instead of feeling guilty (which I’ve done plenty of) I know, and ask that another opportunity will soon arrive so that
I can do better. It always arrives.
I love that you acknowledge that a choice of a new reaction is ours, that our reactions are not in control. YEE HAW!
